Group Backs Ex-NDLEA Boss, Ipinmosho’s Gov Bid In Kogi

The Okun Progressive Union in Kogi State has lauded the ambition of the former Director General of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Chief Lanre Ipinmisho, to be the next governor of the state.

Expressing their desire for in an interview the News Agency of Nigeria in Lokoja, Chairman of the union, Mr Yomi Omonale, said that Ipinmisho had the capacity to fight corruption.
According to Omonale, the group has waited for a long time for people of Ipinmisho’s calibre to come into governance.
“Everyone contesting now in all the political parties is still in the same set of embezzlers; we need a man of vision like Ipinmisho”, he said.
He said the aspirant was credible and was known for his good records at the NDLEA.
He called for maximum support and cooperation from all Okun people for the aspiration of Ipinmisho, describing him as “the long awaited messiah, who would deliver the state”.
Ipinmisho declared his intention to contest the governorship of the state on the platform of the All Progressives Congress in the election scheduled for November, 2015.
