Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) head coach, Fatai Amoo has charged his wards to henceforth take their chances at goal in the on-going top-flight.
The Oluyole Warriors battled to 1-1 draw against leaders, Plateau United in top-flight matchday 12 clash in Ibadan.
Amoo said his side are not sliding in their performance but harped on the need to match performance with result.
“I think people should praise us instead of outright condemnation in the score draw against leaders, Plateau United and performances so far in the league.
“I took time to put the performance of both sides on balance we had better ball possession as well as domination of the game.
“I was disappointed with the outcome but not saddened given the players’ performance.
“I know that result is important, we need three points to further help our course.
“We are greatly developing not sliding the key right now is for us to take our chances.
“Of course, one must remain positive in life even in the face of tough situation.
“We are determined to take our chances to earn the desired result but where and when it will manifest I do not know.
“As I said what will benefit us greatly is taking our chances, knowing how to score as well as luck following us.
“The draw against Plateau United has really boosted our confidence that we can get it right.
“We are working on accuracy and getting the result, that’s the stage we are at the moment and I believe we will start to achieve the target in our next clash at newcomers, Gombe United,” said the former Sunshine Stars coach to supersport.com.
The Ibadan landlords are 17th on the 20-team top-flight on 11 points 11 behind leaders, Plateau United with a game at hand against champions, Enugu Rangers.
